PHYSIOTHERAPY AND REHABILITATION, GLOUCESTERSHIRE

Gloucestershire Small Animal Physiotherapy. For dogs, cats and other small animals.

Based near Stroud and in The Sidings Veterinary Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

Physiotherapy is structured around the needs of the individual animal and their owner, with a specific plan devised to meet the rehabilitation requirements of the animal.

Different modalities such as ultrasound, laser therapy, pulse mag, muscle stim, and TENS machine, manual therapy, exercises, thermo or cryotherapy can be used to create the plan most suitable for your pet.

I treat animals recovering from orthopaedic procedures, short or long term orthopaedic problems, neurological conditions as well as chronic conditions such as arthritis.

Many dogs and cats who appear to be 'just slowing down' in old age benefit from gentle manual therapy and exercises, improving their quality of life. Helping those animal with a weight issue is also part of the service offered where appropriate.

Sporting dogs can also be assessed pre and post season, with a specific programme of exercises provided to help maximise their performance.

Treatment is usually carried out at the physio studio between Cirencester and Stroud, or at the Sidings Veterinary Surgery.

For the very disabled animal home visits are possible, although they do incur an extra charge.

All treatments are carried out under the referral of a veterinary surgeon.

Mobile | Veterinary Physiotherapist | Merseyside

Fully Insured and registered IRVAP Veterinary Physiotherapist

I established in September 2017 and since then are reputation is continuing to grow around the North West for our low prices and exception attention to detail. I try to keep all clients contacted on a personal level and am always available to answer questions throughout your treatment.

I have always had a keen interest in animals and of course their health and well being. Growing up in Liverpool, 5 minutes away from Aintree Racecourse, fuelled a fascination in the way animals move and work. This is one of the primary reasons I pursued a career in veterinary physiotherapy.

Hello my name is Lisa Stilwell and I run Essex Rivers Clinical Canine Massage.I work with dogs of all ages, from pets to show dogs, working dogs and canine athletes. I help to rehabilitate soft tissue injuries commonly seen as lameness and also support common orthopaedic conditions such as Hip Dysplasia and Spondylosis. Clinical Canine Massage can also be beneficial for dogs who require chronic pain management for long term conditions such as Arthritis.

My background is as a Registered General Nurse, I started nurse training after leaving college in 1993 and since gaining a Higher National Diploma in Adult Nursing and later BS(Hons) Nursing Studies have worked in a variety of clinical and managerial positions across the NHS.

Dogs have always been a big part of my life, growing up we always had Samoyeds and at one point a rescued Beagle. I live in South Woodham Ferrersin Mid Essex with my husband and two Samoyeds Dexter and Skye, my parents Beagle Archie is also a frequent visitor to our home.

Dexter had been diagnosed with unilateral hip dysplasia at 9 months old,I came across Clinical Canine Massage whilst looking for ways to support him as he aged. After attending a Beginners Guide to Canine Massage workshop run by Natalie Lenton I was amazed at the positive results I saw in Dexter and inspired to learn more.

was so inspired to help not only my dogs but other dogs as well that I decided to take a leap of faith and leave my job to train to be a Clinical Canine Massage Therapist. I have never looked back, I am dedicated to improving the quality of life for all dogs that I treat, it is a privilege to work with dogs, and I truly have the best job in the world.

Costs

I am ideally located to provide home visitsat £40 per treatment across Essex, visits outside a 25 mile radius of my home location may incur a reasonable travel cost which will be agreed at the time of booking.

Please give me a ring or email me if you would like to find out how Clinical Canine Massage can help your dog.

Wellbeing for body and mind

Massage and acupuncture, Bach Flower remedies and shamanic healing. Qualified vet.

As a qualified veterinary surgeon I am priveledged to be able to treat animals with both conventional and complementary methods. I have found acupuncture to be well received and to produce good results in older animals or those with specific musculoskeletal problems such as arthritis, cruciate injuries or slipped discs. It is also often beneficial for problems affecting internal organs such as incontinence or nausea . As well as needles I have a laser so that I can perform laser therapy and laser acupuncture.

I am also trained to use Bach Flower remedies, crystals and massage and so can offer support in several ways for your animal if they are ailing or just showing signs of ageing. Palliative care is as important for animals as it is for people.

When the time comes to say good bye to your four legged best friend then I can also help with that process by offering a home visit and an unrushed euthanasia at a time of your choosing. Our pets are part of the family and saying good bye is a big thing as they leave a big hole in our lives. I can support you through that stage too.

Integravet complements western medicine to improve the health and quality of life of our animals. We offer an integrated veterinary service which looks at the whole animal rather than just focusing on 1 symptom. After a thorough and individual assessment of your animal, we combine different alternative therapies such as AcupunctureElectroacupuncture, Low-level Laser Therapy and Chronic Pain Management to give the best chances to your animal to return to their natural well-being. We will also help you prevent any injury or illness. Prevention is better than cure!

Sometimes these therapies can be used as a sole treatment whilst others are best used in conjunction with conventional treatments. We offer an integrative veterinary treatment for both pets and horses.

Purely ambulatory, we go wherever your animal is, saving you the time and the hassle to take your beloved pet or horse out of their comfortable environment. Nottingham based, we cover the whole of the East Midlands (Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire) and are always happy to travel to other areas further afield with a low extra-cost per mileage. Contact us for more information.

Shiatsu a very gentle finger touch therapy using the same points and philosophy as in acupuncture. Shiatsu works with your dog's natural ability to heal themselves. It is a non-invasive, gentle treatment working with energetics that will compliment other therapies in accordance to your Vet's guidelines. Shiatsu is the only true Holistic Therapy - taking your dog's mind, emotions and physical symptoms all together.

A lot of ailments can not be dealt entirely by a Vet or with traditional physiotherapy, but as Shiatsu incorporates more than standard canine massage and using knowledge from Eastern Medicine with the theory of Acupuncture to alleviate symptoms; it can understand and aid your dog completely in body and mind.

Physically, emotionally and mentally your dog can experience the same issues as you, from a sprained ankle to arthritis and auto-immune diseases to emotional anxiety and grief.
