Bring Your Dog To Work Day - Raising Funds for Animal Welfare

Businesses from across the UK will welcome their dog loving employees into the workplace along with their loyal (and well-behaved!) four-legged companions to raise money for charity.

This year, the event is raising money for two outstanding animal welfare charities: All Dogs Matter and Animals Asia.

Over the past four years, #BringYourDoToWorkDay has grown into a hugely popular day in the national working calendar, with thousands of people, businesses and celebrities (including Ricky Gervais and ITV’s Loose Women) taking part.

Already take your dog to work?

You, your businesses or any dog-loving employee can still make a donation and upload your logo on their website. Also, if your workplace isn’t a suitable environment for dogs, you can still play an important part in Bring Your Dog To Work Day.

You can help raise money for All Dogs Matter and Animals Asia by making an online donation on BringYourDogToWorkDay.co.uk, uploading your logo (businesses) or photo (individuals), and sharing your support on HOWND social media pages using the #BringYourDogtoWorkDay hashtag.

If you own or run a business, you can participate by making an online donation on BringYourDogToWorkDay.co.uk to become a business sponsor.  In return for a minimum donation of £50, your company’s logo and website link will be displayed on their website homepage.

All the money raised will be split equally between All Dogs Matter and Animals Asia. Alternatively you can raise your own funds for a charitable cause of your choice, using Bring Your Dog To Work Day as a sponsored workplace event for your employees.

Remember to share your photos on social media using #BringYourDogToWorkDay too!

It’s important to keep things clean and safe too...

Businesses and individuals that participate in Bring Your Dog To Work Day should follow these basic guidelines to make sure everyone involved has a safe and enjoyable time.

1. Owners are responsible for controlling their dogs at all times.

2. Businesses must have the correct employee insurance. Bring Your Dog To Work Day is not responsible for keeping employees safe.

3. Individuals need to gain the permission of their employers to bring their dogs to their place of work.

4. Respect those employees who may not feel comfortable around dogs.

5. Keep the workplace clean and adhere to all hygiene standards.

6. Have fun and enjoy the day!
