We offer you the perfect base for exploring the many historic houses and gardens in the area not to mention the fact that the coast is only 30 minutes away, and with Dorset also on our doorstep you will be spoilt for choice for where to visit next.

Every guest will receive a welcome basket on arrival containing local produce from the area. What better way to start your holiday.

There are plenty of local pubs who offer amazing food and of course you are spoilt for choice when it comes to exploring the countryside, with direct access to footpaths and the Parrett Trail, all on your doorstep. 

Here at "A Country Retreat", we know how important your pets are to you so rather then spend lots of money putting them into kennels, why not bring them with you! We are in the perfect location to take them for long meandering walks up the lane without having to worry about lots of traffic passing you by.
