CFAC was opened in mid 2015 due to popular demand. Having spent many years in the First Aid industry running a training company, we have found that our canine friends are just as important as our human friends. For this reason, we are now involved with First Aid training for dogs nationwide and already have a vast array of clients from large companies to individuals.

Worst Mistake, £85 for nothing!

Steer clear, unprofessional and unreliable, terrible business to business experience, wouldn’t recommend anyone in the industry to use as clearly can’t deliver a professional standard.

I rang to enquire about the 24th August course, after being told there were still spaces I booked on. A few days before, the course was cancelled due to insufficient numbers. I requested a refund on the day which I was told would be processed at the end of the month. Not ideal, but if that is how the business does their accounts I was willing to wait.

Fast track to end of month, no refund. I call, no answer, I email, no answer. Only when I follow up via the professional dog group were the business was promoted, do I get a response to say they have changed banks and the payment has been made but won’t be in my account until Monday. Despite faster payments being adopted by all UK banks and building societies with a two hour maximum for money transfers. I wait until Monday, and surprise surprise, no refund.

I call, no answer. I get a message from Mel hoping I am a new customer she can fleece. I say I was ringing to chase my refund, she said it will be paid today, hours later still nothing. Call back no answer. I have the professional dog group she advertised within chasing too, still no response. I explained to her several times I am a new business which relies on every £ I make, fallen on deaf ears though as no moral conscience to do the right thing.

Please pay me back my £85 as I am legally entitled to for your course cancellation. Completely unethical business practices!

Not a good experience

I booked a place onto one of their first aid courses and was asked to pay in full at time of booking. After that I did not hear from them despite emails asking to confirm the exact time and location of the course. Eventually I was told the day before the course (when I got a bit angry in my email) that the course was cancelled and I was offered my money back. I confirmed that I would like a refund and again they ignored my emails. After another angry email from me I was told my money would be transferred into my account immediately. Ten days later I still had not received my money so I threatened to go to the police after which I finally got my money back. I will certainly never book onto any of their courses again.

The training I hope to never use!

I attended The Canine first aid course in Altrincham this month to help grow my portfolio for my dog walking business and also for my own peace of mind.
I can’t recommend Mel and her company enough, professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
How Mel managed to cover as much as she did was fantastic as I feel I now have a really good basic knowledge across the board should anything go wrong with one of my charges.
I will only go through Mel and her company for any future training from now on.
Thanks Mel
