If a tick goes unnoticed, what happens?

If a tick goes unnoticed, what happens? Just curious about what would happen to a dog or cat?

Hi,   Ticks are an issue.  In many parts of the world, they carry disease and there are many types of tick.  If left alone they will attach, feed and after a blood meal, when they are full they will drop off- some pets have a local reaction to the tick, but the biggest concern is the potential disease they can get as the tick feeds - I would recommend a good quality, regularly applied tick treatment- in our practice, we use a number of products, both spot-on and tablets that are now available to prevent your pet contracting diseases like Lymes Disease, Babesiosis, Ehrlichiosis, etc.

Best wishes
