Puppy Breakfast | Recipes For Dogs

There’s not a puppy in the world who wouldn’t love this dish.

It’s not something I’d give every morning, but as a weekly treat it’s a great way of boosting their intake of calcium and protein.

So if you’re making yourself a fry up on a Sunday morning, why not spare an egg and a bit of bacon for the puppy – you never know, she might reward you with a lie-in next week…

For one small dish, you’ll need:

• 1 egg

• 1 rasher bacon

• 1 tablespoon cottage cheese

It’s best to avoid the low fat cottage cheese as this tends to have too much salt in it for puppies.

1.  Hard boil the egg (for about 8-9 minutes), and then remove the shell and mash the egg together with the cottage cheese.

2.  Grind the shell up with a pestle and mortar or rolling pin and add ½ teaspoon of the powder into the mix. This adds calcium and texture to the meal.

3. Then grill the bacon lightly, and chop it up into small pieces.

4.  Mix it into the egg and cheese, and serve once cooled.
