Independent veterinary practice based in Lees, Oldham offering time and trust, local and loyal, care and compassion - TLC for clients and their pets.

Based in Lees, Oldham, we are proud to be a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) accredited Small Animal Practice; this means that we have met the standards set out by the RCVS to ensure that your pet receives a high quality of care. We provide a high quality of service for both you and your pet. To do this, we ensure we have up to date technology, including in-house blood analysers, digital x-ray and full anaesthetic monitoring equipment; alongside this our vets are continually increasing their knowledge by attending courses and training for the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice. We also enlist the help of European and RCVS Diploma holders for more specialist treatment in-house; in many cases this means pets can receive specialist cardiology, soft tissue surgery and ultrasonography at County’s End, which would usually require travel to a referral facility. We are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to treat your pets. After regular office hours we will have the necessary staff on-call to treat your pet and for advice on sick animals overnight. All out of hours emergencies are seen by our own staff.

Excellent veterinary care delivered with skill and compassion

We first met the excellent team at County's End after we decided that the care our elderly dog was receiving at another local vets wasn't adequate. We were given great support and advice to manage the last few months of our dogs life to ensure that he remained comfortable and happy. The care and compassion we were shown when we made the difficult decision to put him to sleep was exceptional
We now have a beautiful new rescue dog. He has recently had a health problem and required urgent treatment and a number of interventions and tests. The quality of care, advice and support offered to both him and us has been exceptional. All the team including the vets, the nurses and the reception staff offer an extremely professional, but personal service where you genuinely feel they care for your pets and look after them as if they were their own. I would have no hesitation in recommending the practice and indeed have done so to other pet owning friends and colleagues.

County's End Veterinary Practice

Without a doubt the best Vet's in the area, all the staff are professional, friendly and make you feel at ease particularly in a stressful situation. We were actually registered with another Vet when we first experienced a visit to County's End as an emergency out of hours, the way they treated not only our cat, but also how they treated us was something I won't forget. As a result we switched to County's End from the vet that had previously just sent our cat home to die with a very vague diagnosis that was delivered to us without any compassion or empathy. Joanna diagnosed what was actually wrong with him stabilised him and made him comfortable even though the diagnosis was sadly terminal. With treatment we were able to have a few extra months with our cat without him suffering. We use them now for both our cats check ups vaccinations etc but it's good to know that should we ever need them for something out of the ordinary that they will be in the best of hands.

Best vet practice ever

I have been using this practice for approximately 5 years. Katie, Joanna and all the vet team are truly amazing, compassionate and dedicated people. Nothing is too much trouble. They take the time to get to know you and your pet well. They look after you 100% at all times. 20 minute consults are the norm here, so no rushing and feeling like you don't matter. I gained a further 2 years with my beautiful dog Ruby because of their determination and dedication to do their very best to manage her illness. For that I am forever grateful. I now have 2 new rescues. They are there at all times to answer any questions and deal with anything I need. They also run 24 your emergency hospital we which gives me complete peace of mind if my dogs get I'll in the night5qnwk
