Vet said that Labradors don't chew (they do quite a lot for their first two years, obviously doesn't know the breed well enough to make such statements) and a number of visits with Pancreatitis diagnosed as the cause of issues we were having. To cut a long story short, the dog died in the end as they failed to find intestines had irreparable damage due to unknown plastic ingestion, found by a different vets practice. Wish I had got a second opinion sooner.

caring until the end
(Updated: February 05, 2015)
Cannot reccommend them highly enough. The way they dealt with putting my 13 years old dog to sleep, with the utmost gentle care, consideration and kindness will never be forgotten. There was no rush We were left alone to say "goodbye" , no harrassment for payment,
This, I may add, was in stark contrast to many years before when another vet came to the house to put another old dog to sleep.
Hurrah for Stewarts being in the area!
