Ziggy is a very timid cat and trips to the vet are so upsetting for him that I absolutely dread them. He's also usually scared of visitors to the house so I was a bit nervous how he'd react to Jo, but she really managed to put him at ease- she spent half an hour just sitting on the floor giving him the chance to get used to her being there before trying to examine him which I wasn't expecting and really appreciated- she also brought him a small toy and some treats and really put him at ease (in fact the toy is now his favourite!). This is a fantastic service and I will definitely continue to use Jo rather than a "traditional" vet, would recommend without hesitation.

My Tortie cat, Tinkie, is a nervous cat and visits to our local vet practice have become an ordeal for both of us. Trying to get her into a cat basket can be really hard work, and quite traumatic. And so I was really pleased to have found Jo, a mobile cat vet. Jo is extremely caring, and provides down-to-earth advice on all aspects of cat care.
Tinkie hardly even noticed that Jo was there, and carried on purring even during the booster injection! The cost is more expensive, but well worth it as the service is exceptionally good.

Jo is amazing! Jack (my cat) would hide the moment a stranger walked into the flat, not with Jo! somehow he immediately took to her. she was able to examine him and weigh him (normally Jack wont let strangers get anywhere near him!) and she gave me hugely helpful advice on how to help with Jacks anxiety.
A must for troubled cats/owners! Worth every penny and more.

I didn't know about mobile vets til a friend said she'd used one and I was delighted to find Jo and that she was prepared to come to us in Earley. No one could've been more caring and thorough in the handling and treatment of my old (16yrs) boy than Jo- a truly committed professional who really knows her stuff. Highly recommended!

I cannot recommend Jo, the cat vet more highly! She is courteous, professional and kind. Jo goes so much more than that extra mile for you and your cat as she is such a wonderful empathetic individual! It is hard to achieve the level of personal and progressive support in any way possible other than that offered by her specific dedicated mobile practice. Jo arrived for us with all the required equipment, no fuss, and was so gentle with our cat that I would never dream of having anyone else treating her now. Our usual vet has been more than fine over the years, but it seems when you need the home visit, the gentle personal touch and the low stress approach (the most important to us right now), I would ask for Jo every time!

The stress of taking Sooty to the vets was getting too much for him and me. A home visit from Jo was so much easier and Sooty was comfortable with her. We have had too many visits to the vets to count this year and did not want to keep putting Sooty through it.
Jo arrived on time and the appointment was very relaxed and unhurried. Jo has given lots of advice regarding treatment we can give which we will try in the future. If you have a nervous or stressed cat then this could be a good option for you. It is for us.

After great communication prior to my home visit with Jo the consultation couldn't have been better. Very professional but with a warm and understanding feel to the visit. My cat Jasper was completely at ease and relaxed even after having blood pressure tests, general checks etc. I could not recommend Jo and this experience enough, I was so happy that a vet took this much time and interest in getting to know my cat and talking through concerns over diet and well being.
Not putting my cat into a cage and driving to the vets reduced my stress as well as his.
If you have a cat of any age and are lucky enough to be in an area that Jo covers you must setup a visit and have the peace of mind I now have.

Jo was great with both my cat this morning, I only just found out about the Cat Vet and I booked her in. I couldn't be any happier with they way Jo handled and looked after my cats, she also gave me great advise which I will take on board without making me feel like a bad cat owner. Jo really understood and took the time to get to know both of my cats, their likes and dislikes, habits etc. they where a lot happier at home being examined with routine vaccinations, normally after a visit to the vets they are not happy and make sure I know about it. it is now evening and they are very happy and contented. Thank you very much Jo you looked after my babies as if they where your own. It is very much appreciated, you also took the time to listen to me about my babies and you understood that no one knows them better than me.

Jo is absolutely fab! After a stressful move with my easily stressed cat I was worried about how he would react after a visit to the vet for his 6 month check up. Chip was a rescue cat and needless to say is very nervous around new people and in new environments.
When I found out about Jo I was so relieved that I wouldn't have to take Chip to the vet for his check-ups and needless to say I was not disappointed.
Jo is amazing, she talked me through any worries I had, Chip even let her examine him! And to make the experience even better he was perfectly happy and content afterwards when normally he would hide for weeks after a vet visit.
I would recommend Jo's services to anyone. I honestly can't imagine anyone else looking after my cat.

I was quite nervous as Queenie's trip to the local vet provided to be a nightmare and I was so glad when I discovered Jo is a mobile vet! Queenie really took to Jo as she has calming effect and is very gentle which made him feel at ease, had his full check up, put my mind at ease and a very happy healthy cat too! What a find! Usually the experience of going to a vets with my Lily is one filled with dread...for both of us! Finding Jo has been a god send for Lily (and me!), not only has Jo picked up on Lily having dangerously high blood pressure that no one else has spotted, the whole experience was completely stress free. Couldn't recommend her service more. Prices are no more expensive than going to the vets practice so don't let that put you off either. Thank you Jo X

Smudge is quite possibly the most nervous scaredy cat on the planet. We can get her to the vets in a carrier - once! She won't be caught out or tricked again! It literally took her MONTHS to trust us again and come out from under the bed. I was agonizing over having to do it again!
Our vets recommended I contact Jo and we met her on Wednesday! She says she's not a cat whisperer, but I dunno! All my girls were happy to greet her. Smudge, usually under the bed at the mere sight of a stranger, even let herself be stroked, before she remembered to try and hide!
Everything that would have been done in the vet surgery, was done in my front bedroom with so much less stress for Smudge. So much so that she forgot about going to hide out under the bed for even an hour, never mind weeks or months. You'd never have guessed that she'd seen the vet and even given a couple of blood samples!
I would totally recommend Jo. Prices are your typical vet prices. It doesn't seem more expensive than a trip to the vet in the car- just a whole lot less stressful for all concerned.

But, Jeff was relaxed throughout and it meant so much that Jo took the time to understand his personality in order to give him the best treatment.
Money cannot buy the peace of mind knowing he has been checked over and is in absolutely great hands.

Super Cat Vet!
Forget Supervet - this is Super Catwoman Vet! Jo is quite frankly wonderful. Our poor little Simba has been diagnosed with cancer and has been to hell and back over the past month. Jo has been with us every step of the way and I can't even begin to say what a difference her care and support has made, not just to Simba, but to us as a family. Her expertise as a clinician has been second to none (she spotted something that two other vets missed completely), but almost more importantly her specialist knowledge of all things feline has made the time Simba has left with us SO much richer. She really has managed to get inside Simba's head and given us a much clearer understanding of how best to care for him. For example this loving, gentle puss has always turned into a savage tiger when we so much as show him a packet of tablets. He currently needs to take six tablets a day and I can honestly say, with the strategies and methods Jo has shown us, it's an absolute pleasure now - the best part of the day with him!
It's hugely comforting to know that, in the short time he has left with us, Simba is getting the very best care anyone could ask for. We simply cannot recommend Jo highly enough. I don't believe Carlsberg make vets, but if they did . . . . . . !

We have two cats, Hugo and Jamie. Jamie is very nervous when it comes to travelling but Jo was great with them and they immediately made friends. Jo was here for an hour and a half bonding with them and checking up on their health whilst talking through with us what she was checking for and what we can do to keep an eye on their health for ourselves. She was able to give us some excellent advice.
When it came to giving them their booster shots, there was virtually no stress as Hugo and Jamie were too distracted by the treats she brought with her to even notice what was going on. Jo clearly loves cats and was very gentle and patient with them. She provides a thorough, personal service and it was the perfect solution for Jamie. We will never again have to put Jamie through the trauma he experiences when travelling in the car to the vets. Jo is worth every penny, we're so glad we've found her.

Perfect solution for "Bob the elusive"
Bob the elusive is a rescue cat, we have been together for 12 years but he is still very anxious around strangers. A visit to a regular vet is out of the question as he is a large strong cat with sharp claws and teeth. My last attempt, roughly 10 years ago, to get him into a cage failed so badly I have not tried again.
Last summer he made friends with some very resilient flees. I tried everything to break up the friendship but to no avail. I turned to the local vet for assistance and, over the phone, was advised there are prescription strength remedies to address the problem. All I needed to do was register and bring Bob in for a check-up. There was no other way so I tried other Vets, same problem.
I searched the internet and came across Jo. I spoke with Jo on the phone and nervous cats seemed to be her speciality. Worth a try then so we agreed an appointment and hoped for the best. The visit was a stunning success, I could hardly believe my luck. Bob the elusive, laid on his back, let Jo stroke him, weigh him and dispense treatments bringing an almost instant solution to his fleas.
More recently Bob broke off a canine tooth so I called Jo again. We had the usual challenges round getting Bob in the house, keeping him in the house, especially difficult as it is summertime and Bob virtually lives outside. Eventually Bob came in, we kept him in and Jo visited.
Jo dealt with everything from that point. Making friends with Bob, diagnosis, dispensing medicine, arranging the treatment with the local vet, providing them with information, catching Bob (near impossible in my opinion)
I recommend Jo wholeheartedly. She is a rare find who really delivers way beyond expectation.

Our cat, Sebastian, had a rather severe dose of cat flu and visits to the local vet were proving very stressful, which was not ideal given he is 18. Jo came to the house and spend an hour getting to know him and us. The whole experience was very relaxing and totally focused on getting the right support for Sebastian. A huge contrast to our usual visits to the vet and most importantly Sebastian was happy throughout and afterwards.
The real difference was that you had the time to ask questions and discuss the best solutions in a relaxed manner and it was clear that Jo really cared. We are so glad to have found her! For us, after this first experience, home visits are definitely the way to go!

We foundJo while searching for a vet, who could provide end-of-life care to our terminally ill 17 year old cat ( whose name was also Cat). Unfortunately despite all our efforts his condition rapidly deteriorated and by the time Jo arrived there was nothing that could be done but let him go.
Jo was there to support me while I had to make this heart breaking decision. And when the time came , she performed the euthanasia on our Cat, with him being in his favourite room and me sitting next to him. All if us had plenty of time to say Goodbye, at no point we were rushed through. Everything was dealt with very professionally and I could see just how much Jo cared about our Cat ( and about us). In total, she spent over 2 hours with us, and this is much longer than we would have in a clinic. Also, as Cat was terrified to get to vets during his final months, home euthanasia was certainly most kind gift we could give him.
Although our hearts still ache after losing our little friend, we know that his final moments were as peaceful as it could be possible, and this knowledge gives us comfort.
I hope more vets will consider home visits in the future.

I am not sure my newly adopted cat, Ella, would have seen a vet if it wasn't for Jo. We could not get her in a cat carrier, and the whole process was very stressful for her.
Jo really took her time on her first visit, and made sure Ella was comfortable, and at ease, before examining her.

I'm very pleased to have found Jo, a vet who specialises in cats and home visits, which has made the job of getting good regular healthcare for my cat a whole lot easier. Jo explains all procedures & treatments and how to use any medicines to an appropriate level of detail, appointment times are flexible and rates are reasonable. On her first visit Jo took plenty of time to put my cat at ease and on all subsequent visits he has been quite happy to see her again. When my cat needed to go in for surgery Jo came to the house to settle him down and took him to and from surgery, making the whole process a lot more straightforward, minimising the stress for all. If you are looking for a vet for your cat in the Surrey / Berks area but don't want the stress of trying to get the cat to a practice yourself, then I get wholeheartedly recommend Jo, in her skill, attitude and approach.

She took plenty of time to gain Poppy's trust on her first visit so that she could examine her with as little stress as possible and gain a complete history.
Jo's communication before, during and after the consultations has been amazing - she really cares how Poppy is doing and has shared every success with me. Her website also contains a huge amount of advice, factsheets etc to support visits, conditions and anything else you can think of.
I cannot recommend her highly enough! Poppy has improved so much in just 3 weeks and it's all thanks to Jo.
